And so begins the parade of Valentine’s Day projects. If you’ve taken a peek through the Toile Valentine’s Day issue, you know how much I love crafting for this holiday and even with all the projects in the magazine, I still have a ton of ideas to share with you. So stay tuned. Before I roll out the full monty of loves and hugs, I wanna share a second look at one of the projects in Toile. I’ve received some questions about the Clearly Simple Treat Bag on page 33 so here’s a step by step tutorial on putting it together.

{1} 3″ Flat Candy Bag filled with the candy of your choice.

{2} A piece of cardstock cut to 3.25″ x 11″ and scored at 4.25″ and 5″

{3} Martha Stewart Doily Lace Border Punch

{4} 1.75″ circle punch

{5} 2″ Scallop punch

{1} Slide the circle punch over the front, shorter side of the cardstock

{2} Punch a circle in the front

{3} Staple the treat bag to the flap that has the punched circle

{4} Fold over the longer end to cover the staples

{5} Place border punch on the flap

{6} Finish punching the flap to achieve this look

{7} To create the scalloped frame on the front of the bag, punch a circle from colored cardstock

{8} On the same sheet, position the scallop punch around the punched circle to create a frame

{9} Place frame around the window on the front of your treat bag and adhere.
